“The Journey” Confirmation 2012

Have you ever been listening to a conversation but not really felt like you were IN the conversation? Have you ever been sitting in church and wondered “What’s the point?” Have you ever wondered why sometimes our pastors where white robes and other times they wear black robes? Have you ever thought that adults ask you too many “Have you…” questions in a row without letting you talk?

The point is that you, as youth of The Community Church, have a very important role here and we would like to encourage you to become even MORE a part of our faith conversation! We hereby invite you (and any of your friends in grades 7-12) to take part in the Confirmation Class of 2011-2012.

Confirmation is the experience in which we will seek to answer (or at least begin asking) some of your greatest faith questions, in addition to teaching you how our church was formed, what we believe, and why you are so important to us, your family, and most importantly, to God. 

An exciting component to our Confirmation class is the high school student mentorship.  These high school leaders have already been confirmed and now help lead our small groups on Sunday mornings.  They want to share and support you in any way they can while you are on your own “journey.” We believe strongly in this experience and have learned that those that commit to “The Journey” are impacted for the rest of their lives!
