Women's Search Bible Study

All women of the Church, and any interested friends, are invited to attend this study led by Rev. Dr. Casey Baggott. This study is an opportunity to learn about sacred texts of our faith, and to let them speak to us in ways that challenge, affirm, comfort and support. Participants enjoy learning with and from one another. As so often happens when we engage writing of such significance, we find ourselves growing together in faith and purpose as we share in study! No prior Bible study experience is necessary to join the Women's Search Bible Study. Your presence will be a valued addition!

 

Meets on Wednesdays from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm in Ed. Bldg. #113/114.

Men's Fellowship Bible Study

Join Rev. Dr. Bob Baggott as he discusses each week's lectionary scripture reading. These readings will focus on the next Sunday's sermons. The only preparation needed is to rise early and prepare to enjoy coffee and donuts because this group meets at 7:00 am on Tuesday mornings in Ed. Bldg. #113/114.

 

Koinonia Groups - "A Journey with a small faith community"

Few can pronounce it, fewer yet can spell it, and only a handful knows the definition. KOINONIA is the English equivalent of a Greek word that described life in the early church. It means “to share,” or “to hold things in common.” It appears many times in the New Testament.  A small group devoted to Koinonia can meet many needs.  Developing new friendships, establishing meaningful relationships, sharing, support, study, service, fun and fellowship are all part of KOINONIA.

Community Church of Vero Beach is a large church.  KOINONIA groups provide an opportunity to avoid becoming lost in the shuffle.  Through KOINONIA you can find a place that is personal, caring and hospitable.

There are several Koinonia groups now in progress, some having met for several years (under the name “Christ Care Groups”).  Members may form new groups as the desire arises.  Groups may be composed of around 8-14 people, couples and singles, with a variety in ages, family composition, interests, and professional backgrounds.  The needs of the group determine its direction and its programs.  Meetings are typically held in member’s homes, usually weekly, bi-monthly or once a month. 

Most groups pass the leadership responsibilities around among their members. Many people have said that one of the most meaningful experiences for them in the life of the church has been as a member of a KOINONIA group.
