Women's Fellowship

The Women’s Fellowship was organized to help its members
grow in their understanding of the mission of the Church,
to deepen their fellowship with each other,
to serve the goals of the women who are members
and to enrich the Christian experiences of the women who are its members.

The women of Community Church have always been stalwart supporters of church and community activities. It’s divided into Circles which were named after prominent women of the Bible: Mary, Naomi, Ruth and Sarah. Any woman member or friend of the church who agrees with the purpose of the Women’s Fellowship is welcome to become a member.

The Women’s Fellowship defines it purpose as written above, and in years past, it supported many local, national and foreign missions, including two Girl Scout troops, as well as pledging a substantial amount to the church budget and building funds. They raise funds by having bazaars, rummage sales, silent auctions, and dinners; accept pledges and offerings to the Women’s Fellowship to support a yearly budget. The missions and benevolences of Women’s Fellowship include: Association of Retarded Citizens, Back Bay Mission, Council on Aging, VNA/Hospice, Safespace, The Literacy Council, Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch, Church Women United, Florida Women’s Fellowship and the Homeless Family Center.

Circles are responsible for Wedding Kits, Flower Fund, CareNotes, library books, representation at Church Women United and other organizations as well as hosting retreats, dinners, luncheons, Christmas teas and other receptions. The Community Church Women's Fellowship leads and supports a very active life, both in the church and the community!

Women's Prayer Circles

Mary Circle meets the second Friday of the month at 9:30 am (Indian River Estates)
Naomi Circle third Tuesday of the month at 11:00 am (Garden Room)
Ruth Circle third Wednesday of the month at 10:00 am (Garden Room)
