
Minister for Congregational Care
JOB DESCRIPTION: Minister for Congregational Care: Part Time
Purpose: Provide Congregational Care to the members and friends of Community Church of Vero Beach, including hospital, care facilities and home visits.
Supervision: The Minister for Congregational Care will be supervised by the Senior Minister.
Congregational Care Responsibilities:

Visit all members receiving rehabilitation at least monthly.

Visit members of Community Church in the hospital in conjunction with other staff/members of the church who make hospital calls. Minister of Congregational Care will typically make the first call.

Provide follow-up spiritual care for members who have been hospitalized.

The Minister for Congregational Care will provide a weekly log and anecdotal record of all calls for collaboration with, and potential follow-up by the Senior Minister or other members of the ministry team.

Develop relationship/contact with members of Community Church in Continuing Care facilities or receiving home care.

Serve as spiritual advisor and counselor to those in need as assigned.

Collaborate with the prayer ministry of the church: Coordinate prayer list and communicate with the director of prayer ministry.
Work Environment: The Minister for Congregational Care will provide their own vehicle for and from clients and facilities and will be reimbursed for mileage according to current IRS guidelines.
The church will provide an office and administrative support.
Requirements: Master’s Degree in Ministry, Social Work, Counseling Psychology or related field; demonstrated competence and experience in spiritual and clinical care. Ordination not required.
Compensation: Negotiable
