Dan has been an active and dedicated member of the Community Church of Vero Beach since 2013. Initially starting as a volunteer for the Youth Program, he participated in retreats and mission trips while also offering his time and skills to the program regularly. Dan's devotion to the church soon led him to assist with the C2 service, where he took on miscellaneous tasks and odd jobs to ensure its smooth operation every Sunday. In 2017, the church entrusted Dan with the responsibility of managing the social media platforms and the church website. This role allows him to leverage his skills to further the church's mission and engage with the wider community online. In 2023, Dan became a Founding Member of the Earth Care Ministry of the Community Church of Vero Beach.

His commitment and passion for community involvement also extended beyond the church. In 2013 when Dan moved to Vero Beach, he took on the role of Executive Director at the Indian River Neighborhood Association, where he has been working tirelessly ever since to help address community and environmental issues and to improve the quality of life for local residents. Additionally, in 2018, Dan joined the Clean Water Coalition of Indian River County as a Board Member, actively supporting efforts to protect and preserve the area's vital water resources. Recognizing Dan's ongoing contributions to environmental conservation, the Pelican Island Audubon Society honored him with the Conservationist of the Year award in 2023.

Dan's unwavering commitment to the Community Church of Vero Beach and his extensive work in environmental conservation, community engagement, and local initiatives have made a significant impact on both the church community and the Indian River County as a whole.
