Planned Giving
Securing the Future of The Community Church of Vero Beach
Giving to Your Church
Your weekly offering makes a difference.
Every Sunday, your generous gifts support our ministries, programs, and community outreach. These gifts—drawn from your current income—help sustain the daily life of our church and fund urgent appeals, like disaster relief or mission projects
What is Planned Giving?
Planned Giving is a way to leave a lasting legacy.
While weekly offerings meet today's needs, Planned Giving looks to the future. It allows you to make a meaningful statement about your faith by supporting the church through financial or estate planning.

Planned Giving:
-
Comes from your accumulated assets—not weekly income.
-
Supports the long-term stability of our church and its ministries
-
Is available to everyone, regardless of income.
-
Offers the opportunity to express your values through thoughtful generosity.

Why it Matters
Planned giving isn't just a financial decision—it's a spiritual one. It reflects your desire to pass on a legacy of faith, compassion, and commitment to the future of our congregation.
Ways to Give
Bequest by Will
Gifts may be a set percentage or set amount of one's estate.

IRA Tax-Free Charitable Contribution
A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) is a wonderful option for people 70 1/2 and older to donation to a charity directly from their IRA up to $108,000 without the distribution counting as taxable income.
Guidelines: 1. You must be at least 70 1/2 years old at the time of distribution. 2. QCDs are typically from traditional or rollover IRAs, not SEP or SIMPLE IRAs, or 401(k)s. 3. The distribution must be made directly from the IRA to a qualified charity. 4. The maximum QCD amount is $108,000 per individual per year. 5. QCDs are not included in your taxable income, potentially lowering your tax liability and allowing you to avoid being pushed into a higher tax bracket. 6. QCDs can satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for the year. 7. QCDs must be completed by December 31st of the tax year.
How to make a QCD: 1. Consult with a financial advisor, and tax professional for guidance on QCD distribution. 2. Inform your IRA administrator about your intention to make a QCD. 3. Give the charity's name and address to your administrator. 4. Make sure the check is made payable to the charity and includes your name and address. 5. Obtain a written acknowledgement from the charity for your records.
Life Income Gift
Charitable Gift Annuities, Charitable Remainder Trusts and Pooled Income Funds offer significant benefits related to capital gains taxes, as well as providing life-long income for you, and a future gift for your congregation.
